Why flow can change
When an enlarged prostate compresses the urethra, the bladder may have to work harder to move urine. NIDDK notes that incomplete emptying and urinary retention can occur in some cases.
When not to wait
If you cannot urinate, have severe pain, blood in your urine, fever or rapidly worsening symptoms, seek prompt medical care. Supplements should not delay evaluation of significant urinary problems.
